Properly communicating with others in an aural-oral form requires a person to
have a set of standards which allows her/ him to present ideas, memories, and
other parts of the cognitive process to be understood by the audience of her/ his
selection. In this informative blog entry, you will be introduced to a selective set
of standards. The standards are in two major parts with them being proper
grammar and speech.
A) Proper grammar.
1. Avoid slang terminology for technical discussion.
2. When using/ speaking a language that is not one of your native ones,
use the formal style of the language.
B) Speech standards.
These are:
1. Honesty
2. Truthfulness
3. Being direct
4. Being straightforward
5. Diplomacy
6. Tact
7. Articulate in presentation
8. Eloquence in delivery

What is the first thing a person does when she/ he begins to be aware
of her/ his surroundings when becoming awake after sleep?
You think.
Think about it.
One reasons before doing an action.
Reason naturally occurs before method.
"Why" supersedes "how" just as the brain is the most important organ in
the human body. Artificial hearts exist along with a heart transplant;
however, if an artificial brain was placed in your skull or even a brain
transplant could be done, it would not be you. The heart is a muscle.
Signals from the brain cause other organs to react to stress within
your life.
Studying chakra and sephirot points of the body will explain the
metaphysical/ spiritual parts and understandings of the inner self or
mind/ spirit.
Another self imposed instruction is improper reference. Immanuel Kant
made a reference to "thine" [yours] and "mine" as to association,
reference, and possession. In retail and other commercial/ economic
entities, an employee may state, "I don't have such and such."
1. Even if the customer/ client/ one-who-is-asking states,
"Do you have such-such ?"
Try not to use "I" in your response unless you actually own the
established business.
2. "How can I such-and-such so-and-so" is another bad habit of
improper communication. "How" is method and "can" is ability. If you
have to ask others about your abilities then why are you employed at
that business? It is a more proper and better choice to say, " May I
assist you with ..."
"What would you like to ...."
" May I be of assistance/ aid/ help you ..."
As it is with the scientific method, a person should listen and observe
before making a hypothesis.
Try not to and avoid making assumptions based upon correlation.
This is to state that many others do not have your experiences,
culture, ethnicity, level of intelligence and perception. I am half
Latino-Hispanic and I do not assume that others are the same as
I am.
Do not threaten or attempt to manipulate another. These actions
may be included in US Federal and International Laws on torture
and terrorism on the psychological level.
In our public lives, some of us choose to involve ourselves in the
personal lives of others, making comments without have definitive,
real, and forensic evidence of the event. This popular pastime of
rumor - the grapevine and other names - legally are forms of libel,
slander, coercion, threats, harassment, and defamation.
Stating the faults of others in order to perceive yours as non-existence
and/ or to eschew accountability and responsibility for your own choices
does not reflect the standards, principles, and ethics of an individual with
a code of morals.
Only Mother Nature and the Great Spirit - or the female and male aspects of
what some call "God" - have the right to pass judgement; so, it is best to
thoroughly think thoughts through with emphasis on logic and awareness
many times before the statement becomes vocalized or written. The adage
of "Actions speak louder than words" is false because a person needs to
move her/ his mandible, force air through the larynx, move the tongue, and control the air flow to talk. All of these are actions; therefore, speech and
other forms of communications are actions.
Have a dictionary and thesaurus available to increase your vocabulary.
Repeating the same statement without emphasis and explanation may
result in your audience not desiring to have a conversation with you.
Avoid the following as much as possible:
1. Indirect speech
2. Giving hints
3. Dropping clues
4. Using social media when you are able to physically approach
another and use the standards introduced in the beginning of this post.
5. Denying what you have said or using an excuse which is both
illogical and irrational in nature.
6. Skewed logical association based upon the assumptive belief
that everyone else inherently knows both you and your culture.
